Terms and Conditions

We purchase vehicles of any make, model, and condition — running or non-running — for cash, and provide free towing and removal as part of the purchase. Services are available across Calgary and throughout Alberta, subject to scheduling and access.

• Quotes provided by phone, text, or through our website are estimates based on the information you supply, current market value, and prevailing scrap metal prices.
• A quote becomes a final offer when our driver confirms at pickup that the vehicle matches the description given.
• You are under no obligation to accept any offer, and you may decline a revised offer at pickup at no cost.
• Quotes are valid for a limited time, as scrap metal prices change; we will tell you the validity window when quoting.

By selling a vehicle to us, you confirm that:

• You are the legal owner of the vehicle, or you are legally authorized to sell it, and you are at least 18 years of age.
• The vehicle is free of liens, encumbrances, and financing obligations, or any such obligations have been fully disclosed to us and will be discharged as part of the sale.
• The vehicle is not stolen, and the VIN has not been altered or tampered with.
• The information you provided about the vehicle's identity and condition is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

• Towing is free and is never deducted from your offer.
• You agree to provide safe and lawful access to the vehicle at the agreed pickup location.
• Pickup windows are scheduled in good faith; same-day service is subject to demand, weather, and road conditions across Alberta.

• Payment is made at pickup, before the vehicle leaves your possession, by cash or another method agreed in advance.
• We complete an Alberta Bill of Sale with you at pickup and leave you a signed copy.
• You are responsible for removing your licence plates before or at pickup and for cancelling or transferring your registration and insurance after the sale.

Please remove all personal belongings from the vehicle before pickup. Once the vehicle is sold and removed, we cannot guarantee the recovery or return of any items left inside, and we are not responsible for them.

You may cancel a scheduled pickup at any time before the Bill of Sale is signed, at no charge. We may cancel or reschedule a pickup where access is unsafe, ownership cannot be verified, or conditions make removal impracticable.

We purchase vehicles on an "as-is, where-is" basis for scrap, parts, resale, or recycling at our discretion. After the transaction is complete, you have no further obligation regarding the vehicle's condition, and we have no obligation to return the vehicle or any part of it.

• The content on scrapmycarcalgary.ca — text, images, logos, and branding — belongs to Scrap My Car Calgary or its licensors and may not be copied or republished without permission.
• You agree not to misuse the website, submit false quote requests, attempt to interfere with its operation, or use automated tools to scrape its content.
• Information on our website is general information, not legal advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by Alberta law, our total liability arising from a vehicle purchase or the use of our website is limited to the amount we paid or offered to pay for the vehicle concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from a breach of your representations in Section 3 — including claims from lienholders, co-owners, or third parties asserting an interest in a vehicle you sold to us.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta, sitting in Calgary.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time you request a quote or complete a sale is the version that applies to that transaction.
